Leicester City have signed Oliver Skipp for £20m plus £5m in add-ons. The 23-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year contract until 2029 to become Leicester’s new signing. Skipp is a product of Spurs’ academy and made his first-team debut in 2018.

Leicester City have announced the signing of midfielder Oliver Skipp from Tottenham Hotspur for £20m plus £5m in add-ons.

“I’m really excited to sign. I feel like it’s a good group of players and a good group of players. I’m sure we have a team that can challenge every game. When you look around the team there are some really exciting players who have played in the Premier League and I’m really excited to see what this group of players can do,” Skipp said.

“I’ve spoken to the people here and they’ve made me feel welcome and they’re excited to have me here. As a player, when you’re excited that’s something you can use to improve your skills. The staff here know me as well – Steve (Cooper) I worked with in the England (under-21) team, so there’s definitely a good connection here and I’m looking to improve myself and show what I can do.”

The 23-year-old midfielder underwent a medical with the Foxes over the weekend and has now signed a five-year deal until 2029.
