Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca insists his side are not ready to challenge for the Premier League title but believes their impressive start to the season is a sign they are building energy, belief and faith

after a 4-2 win at Ghent in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday made it five consecutive victories for his side, with their dangerous attacking side scoring 17 goals.
They currently sit fourth in the Premier League, just two points behind leaders Liverpool.
However, ahead of Sunday’s game at Nottingham Forest, Maresca insists his side are not good enough to challenge the others for the Premier League title.
“I don’t really think we can compete with Arsenal or Manchester City. I don’t think so because we are not ready,” he said.
“The reason is that City have had the same manager for nine years and Arsenal for five. If you want to compete for great things, you need that kind of time. “
After Arsenal’s win over PSG [In the Champions League] the press asked Luis Enrique and he answered the same: Arsenal have the same manager for five years and we (PSG) for just a year and a half. “
“And imagine, we are only three months, so it is very different. ufabet http://ufabet999.app So I am sure that we cannot compete with those clubs. ” “
The objective is to improve, to develop gradually and get closer to them but at the moment we are not ready for that.”
Asked how much time he gives himself to reach the same level as Manchester City and Arsenal, Maresca replied:
“There is no time frame because you have to keep improving and add solutions to different problems all the time. But in the end, the longer we are together, the better it is because we trust each other. They can develop.”
